Trauma recovery guidance for those battling with anxiety, overwhelm, stress or burnout or chronic inexplicable pain. Whether using TRE®, Fascia & Trauma Release, MSTR ®, or Trauma-Informed Health Coaching, we will work together to find a solution.
I focus on a holistic approach, with careful attention to nutrition and physical work that might be needed, not just easing symptoms.
Some overwhelming experiences can leave the brain in a heightened state of anxiety and survival mode, leading to generalised anxiety, panic, or feelings of isolation. Common symptoms include feeling frozen, disconnected from reality, or losing a sense of self. Whatever you’re going through, it’s important to know it’s not your fault, and there are ways to address it.
In cases of trauma and traumatic stress, our autonomic nervous system’s ability to self-regulate is disrupted, preventing us from returning to a relaxed state. This can make everyday triggers overly sensitive or unresponsive, resulting in symptoms like:
- Racing heart, palpitations, and breathing difficulties
- Chronic low-level anxiety
- Hypervigilance or being on ‘red alert’
- Panic attacks
- Persistent fears, phobias, or overwhelming emotions
- Flashbacks, intrusive memories, or images
- Sensitivity to light, sound, or touch
- Sleep disturbances like insomnia or night terrors
- Physical, mental, or emotional exhaustion
- Mental fog or feeling disconnected
Behavioural symptoms may also manifest, including attraction to risk, addictive behaviours, or avoidance of certain places or memories.
Traumatic stress often accompanies physical symptoms such as:
- Headaches, migraines, neck, and back pain
- Muscle weakness or pain
- Digestive issues like IBS
- Immune system dysfunction
- Skin disorders
- Sensitivities to environmental factors
Conditions like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and unexplained myofascial pain are also frequently associated with overwhelm or traumatic stress.
All of the above can be eased and, in some cases, be healed. What is important is to take the first step towards finding out what works for you. Feel free to contact me via email or cell phone to book a consultation.
